Department of Finance and Banking includes head of department, vice head of department, faculty members (1 Professor, 2 Associate Professors, 1 Dr. Lecturer), 2 Research Assistants and 6 administrative officers who have both national and international experiences.
Currently over 10 thousand international students, from 90 different countries, enrolled in various programs in Karabuk University (UNIKA). The university, represents and promotes our country in different continents and different parts of the world, offers an international education atmosphere to more than 55 thousand students.
Education and training activities carried out in our department that is selected and arranged in a way to enable students to gain adequate professional background and management skills. Also, courses and course contents of the department dynamically shaped as a result of delicate works, with the feedback from students and academicians, by expert faculty members.
There is a progress on double major or minor programs that students may acquire if necessary conditions met. Additionally, within the Erasmus+ Exchange Programs, students have the opportunity to become more qualified in terms of academic and professional competence by continuing a part of their education at universities abroad that our university has an agreement with.
As the Department of Finance and Banking at Karabük University, our primary goal is to educate individuals who are highly self-confident, respectful to their national and moral values, respecting their families, and specialize in the finance and banking sector with international standards.
Working areas of our department graduates are Conventional and Participation (Islamic) Banks, Leasing Companies, Investment Companies, Portfolio Management Companies, Factoring Companies, Private Pension Companies, Financial Institutions such as Insurance Companies, Independent Audit Companies, Finance Departments of Various Institutions; Government Institutions such as Central Banks and Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency.
